Inevitably being back in this part of the world, many Town minds kept drifting back to that night two years ago in Helsingborg when the small Swedish town was turned Blue. Around 6,000 people made the trip for that game, probably the most memorable actual match from the UEFA Cup run that season.

Town continued their good start to their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 3-1 win against Swedish side Mjällby at their picturesque Stradvallen ground in Hällevik. Marcus Bent, Darren Bent and Pablo Couñago got the goals, all in the first half with the home team notching a consolation late in the second.

Town came from two goals behind to get their pre- season off to a 4-2 winning start at Roots Hall against Southend United. As promised manager Joe Royle fielded two completely different sides in each half, only keeper Lewis Price on the field the whole time.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks hailed the club's exit from administration as an "important milestone" in the process of recovery. Sheepshanks was speaking at a press conference called after the board regained control of the club from administrators Deloitte and Touche.

As expected Town will exit administration today after being under the control of Deloitte and Touche since February 10th. The club will now hope that their Football League share is returned at the June 4th League board meeting.
